The revolution that is brewing in Tibet is driven by political repression, cultural assimilation, social discrimination, economic marginalisation and environmental destruction,\u201d noted the white paper titled \u201cWhy Tibet is burning\u201d released this January. <\/span><\/span><\/span><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/tibet.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/TPI-BOOK.pdf\"><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><span><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span>(Read full text)<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p align=\"JUSTIFY\"><span style=\"color: #1d252f;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span><span style=\"color: #800000;\">The International community, including the UN and EU Parliament, have strongly urged the Chinese government to address the Tibetan people\u2019s genuine grievances<!--more--> and end its policies which are pushing Tibetans to take drastic actions. But the Chinese government has responded to the crisis with more repressive measures such as deployment of massive security forces in the Tibetan areas and meting out death and harsh prison sentences to Tibetans on trumped-up charges.
