His Holiness the Dalai Lama returned to Dharamshala

His Holiness the Dalai Lama returned to Dharamshala today to a warm and joyous welcome by the local Tibetans and foreign devotees. His Holiness has just concluded a highly successful trip spanning four  European countries including the UK, where he received the 2012 Templeton Award for reaffirming life’s spiritual dimension.  His Holiness the Dalai Lama was received at Gaggal airport by Gyalwang Karmapa Rinpoche, Kalon Tripa Dr Lobsang Sangay, Speaker of the Tibetan Parliament Penpa Tsering and chief Justice Commissioner Ngawang Phelgyal Gyechen of the Tibetan Supreme Justice Commission. His Holiness the Dalai Lama gave a series of public talks and met many distinguished personalities including the prime minister of the United Kingdom (UK), Mr David Cameron during his trip. His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s upcoming schedule includes teachings on Tsongkhapa’s In Praise of the Buddha for His Teaching on Dependent Arising (tendrel toepa) and Nagarjuna’s Drops of Nourishment for People (kyewo sothik) as well as Manjushri Empowerment (jamphel yang jenang) from June 1 -3. The teaching will be held at the TCV Auditorium at the request of Tibetan youth.

From June 7-9,  His Holiness will conduct another three days of teachings on Introductory Buddhist Teachings at the request of Indian Buddhists at the Main Tibetan Temple, Mcleod Ganj.
